The special experience between mountain and valley in the St. Johann in Tirol region!
On 27th February and 13th March, from 18.00 on both dates, experience a unique evening at the Gondola Dinner with a regional 5-course gourmet menu at the Eichenhof lift in St. Johann in Tirol. After a reception with aperitif and a Flying Buffet at the valley station for the Eichenhof lift, you head off to the gondola. At each interim stop-off at the valley station a new culinary highlight from the three KochArt establishments awaits: Penzinghof, Wirtshaus Post and Angerer Alm. While the Penzinghof and Wirtshaus Post take care of the menu, Annemarie Foidl, President of Sommelier Union Austria and landlady at Angerer Alm, takes care of the exquisite selection of accompanying wines and drinks. After the culinary delights in the gondola the evening is brought to a close with cheeses & a digestif back in the valley station for the Eichenhof lift again. The Gondola Dinner programme!
The reception will take place at 18.00 with delicious, exclusive food along with an aperitif in Eichenhofbahn valley station. At 18.30 the Gondola Dinner starts. A new culinary highlight awaits at each interim stop at the valley station. Enjoy your meal during a unique night-time gondola ride. Needless to say, all courses are accompanied by a selection of wines and drinks. After three rounds a cheese buffet and a digestif await you at the valley station.
Important: The gondolas are not heated, so please dress warmly. So you don’t get too cold, there are fleeces for you to sit on and cosy blankets to keep you warm.

The price for the Gondola Dinner is € 179.- per person incl. gondola ride, aperitif & digestif, 5-course gourmet menu, exquisite wine accompaniment, non-alcoholic drinks and beer or shandy on request. Gondolas can be reserved for a maximum of 6 people. An exclusive gondola for 2 people can be booked for a € 50.- surcharge.

The Penzinghof and Wirtshaus Post provide a regional 5-course gourmet menu. Annemarie Foidl, President of Sommelier Union Austria and landlady of the Angerer Alm will provide an exquisite selection of wines and drinks to accompany your meal.
At 18.00 there is an aperitif and a Flying Buffet, after which you board the gondola and enjoy the next course at the valley station. The gondola ride takes around 1 1/2 hours. There is a digestif and a cheese buffet afterwards in the valley station.
Guests will be seated according to the booking situation. It may be that several guests will be dining together in one gondola. A gondola exclusively for 2 people may be booked for a surcharge of € 50.-.

No, a cable car ticket is included in the price, you don’t need a separate ticket.
Generally speaking the Gondola Dinner will be held in all weather conditions. If it is not possible for the gondola to operate due to severe storm, guests will be informed about cancellation on the day of the event. You will of course receive a refund.
Free cancellation can be made up to 7 days before the date reserved, after that time 100 % of the cost will be charged for cancellation.
The deadline for registering is the Monday before the respective event, that is Monday, 24th February 2025 and Monday, 10th March 2025.
For organizational reasons, we apologize that it is not possible for any change to be made to the respective menus.
