Tour information

This hike starts at the tourist office in Oberndorf. Follow the road between the church and Kramerwirt to the hamlet of Wiesenschwang. Follow Römerweg past old chapels, wayside shrines, hay barns and farmhouses. Leaving the peace and quiet of nature behind, you will reach Kitzbühel’s first residential area with some beautiful houses. Cross the road and follow Gänsbachgasse past more charming buildings into the center of world-famous Kitzbühel. Walking time: approx. 2.5 hours. If you are not tired yet, you can hike back to Oberndorf via Lake Schwarzsee, Steuerberg, Hasenbergweiher and Schmiedboden. Walking time: approx. 5 hours.
Alternatively you can also take a bus or train back to Oberndorf.

Getting there Coming from Lofer via St. Johann in Tirol, take the B161 towards Kitzbühel. Turn right at Oberndorf and follow Bahnhofstraße into the village centre.

Coming from the direction of Kitzbühel, take the B161 towards St. Johann in Tirol. Turn left at Oberndorf and follow Bahnhofstraße into the village centre.
