This hike starts in the center of Kirchdorf and leads along a low-traffic road to the hamlet of Unteranger. Change to Sonnseitweg (sunny side trail) where you can find an old hay barn with a stone trough. The hike then climbs moderately past barns and quaint farmhouses. Because of the sunny location, you may see the first spring flowers as early as February. Next you’ll reach another low-traffic road where you can find several inns and cafes (Gasteiger Jagdschlössl, Cafe Erika, Cafe Hautz, Gasthaus Mitterjager, Schaukäserei Wilder Käser) that beckon you to relax over a meal or a cup of coffee and cake. Continue to Kramerhof. At the inn you have two options: you can hike up to Bacheralm where you can rent sleds to zoom back down, or continue to Bachermahd. This is a pristine hike full of wonderful views and sights, inluding the mighty peaks of the Wilder Kaiser, snow-coverd hay barns and frosted trees.
Option Bacheralm:
length: 1 km
highmeters: 142m
highest point: 900 m
