Whether you're a leisurely walker or a mountaineer, the Steinplatte plateau has the perfect hiking tour for every visitor. One of these is the hike up to the Steinplatte summit (1,869 m). The well-developed hiking trail departs from the mountain station of the gondola lift, past a reservoir, high up to the summit, where you are rewarded with a dreamlike view of the surrounding mountain landscape, including the Wilder Kaiser, the Loferer Steinberge and much more.

It hangs almost 70 metres over the abyss and offers views into unknown depths with its glass floor. Those who dare to walk across the viewing platform, which resembles a fan coral, are rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view: the view into the valley as well as the surrounding mountain landscape is priceless and the rock faces of the Steinplatte are close enough to touch.

Those who dare can also take a look through the glass floor. A hiking trail passes under the platform, and leads to the entrances of countless climbing routes and via ferrata. The viewing platform is accessible via a short walk from the gondola lift mountain station, which is also suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users.
