Tour information

From the car park at Hörndlinger Graben, a short cross-country trail leads directly up to the forest road. Follow this gravel road over serpentines up to the Hochhörndler Alm, always on the sunny side of the valley. In the upper area you can see the cables and supports of the TirolS-Bahn and the Hochhörndl chairlift. This valley crossing is the connection to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. The panorama gets wider with every curve you hike up and you can look forward to enjoying it from the terrace of the Hochhörndl hut!
The way back leads along the same route. At the end of the tour, the inn Pulvermacher Almhütte, a little way out of the valley, next to the valley station of the TirolS cable car, invites you for a stop.

Getting there Coming from St. Johann i.T. or Hochfilzen via the B164 Hochkönigbundesstraße, coming from Waidring via the L2 Pillersee Landesstraße to Fieberbrunn. At the end of the village or at the entrance to the village, near the access road to the Fieberbrunn cable cars, a road branches off in the direction of the industrial estate / Gasthof Eiserne Hand. Follow this road for 5 km until you reach Gasthof Eiserne Hand. Continue and at the next junction turn right towards Hörndlinger Graben / inn Pulvermacher Almhütte. From this crossroads it is a gravel road, which is partly single-lane and leads through tunnels. Pass the TirolS-Bahn valley station and continue straight into the valley until you reach the small car park.
