Gipfelkreuz

The most scenic summits of Brixental Valley

Experience new perspectives and feel freedom

The greatest moments when hiking are surely among those when you have reached your destination. Particularly emotional are the "summit conquests". After a long, sometimes strenuous ascent, that’s the moment when you can let go of the whole load. It’s the moment in which a giant mountain panorama opens up before you. It’s the moment in which it suddenly becomes quiet and reverent. Reaching a mountaintop to many people means freedom, happiness and personal peace. In the townships of Brixen im Thale, Kirchberg and Westendorf, countless, "conquerable" summits from 1,500 to more than 2,400 m altitude are waiting. They reveal views of many other mountains in the Alps - including more than seventy 3,000 m peaks. Now it’s up to you to choose one of these summits and feel your very personal freedom.

I go up to the summit and when I come back down again, I’m a different person.
