Tour information

Start the hike at the tourist office in Oberndorf. Follow the residential road in the direction of Grutten through the hamlet of Holztratt. After the last houses, the typical hilly landscape of the Bichlach begins. The tour takes you past beautifully situated tyrolean farms. Observant hikers are offered beautiful views of the Kitzbüheler Horn, the Wilder Kaiser, the Großer Rettenstein and the Hahnenkamm. Continue hiking in the direction of Brandl and downhill to Oberndorf. Pass the quarry (diabase mining) and the hamlet of Schmiedboden and return to the centre of the village.

Getting there Coming from Lofer via St. Johann in Tirol, take the B161 towards Kitzbühel. Turn right at Oberndorf and follow Bahnhofstraße into the village centre.
Coming from the direction of Kitzbühel, take the B161 towards St. Johann in Tirol. Turn left at Oberndorf and follow Bahnhofstraße into the village centre.
