Brixner Gangl

We begin this circular tour in Brixen im Thale’s village centre.  Just after Metzgerei Knauer (the butcher’s shop) turn right up the hill.  Follow this road until we reach the gate and find ourselves in the “Schneckgasse”.  Remain on this romantic path until we arrive at the junction with the “Zinting” trail, keeping to the right, downhill.  At the Reitlwirt cross the road and walk through the railway underpass.  Follow the asphalt road for approx. 50 m, then turn left onto a field path. At the end of the path (which runs parallel to the railway tracks) we keep to the right and see the first farmhouses of the hamlet “Feuring”.  Just before the Weberhof (riding centre) turn to the left and follow the access road to the Rieser farm.  Shortly after the farmhouse, turn to the right onto a field path which brings us to a road.  Follow this road downhill, passing the Restaurant Winklstüberl and we arrive at a bridge.  The forest path on Brixen’s “Schattseite“ takes us to a wide track, which we follow.  Once we get to the Brixental cycle path, keep to the right and and we arrive at a large playground.  Just before the playground, cross the bridge and after approx. 5 minutes we arrive back in the centre of Brixen im Thale.
