The Kaiserbachtal valley and the Wilder Kaiser have captivated people for centuries. The small side valley is part of the Kaiser Mountains nature reserve. Countless legends surround the mighty mountain range.
You start at the Kaiserbachtal car park in the Kirchdorf district of Griesenau. From there, you hike along the winter hiking trail into the Kaiserbachtal valley. The view of the imposing snow-covered peaks of the Kaiser is well worth it! Very close to the Fischbachalm is the chapel in memory of those who died on the Wilder Kaiser.
The hike takes you further into the valley, past snow-covered mountain huts and hunting lodges, to the Griesner Alm. You hike back along the same route.
