Ingredients:
250 g butter (room temperature)
250 g icing sugar
400 g flour
200 g ground poppy seeds
100 g ground hazelnuts
5 eggs
3 apples
Some cinnamon, a pinch of salt and some vanilla, sliced almonds & apricot jam
Method:
Beat the butter with icing sugar, vanilla and salt until creamy, then gradually add the eggs. When the mixture is creamy, stir in the flour, poppy seeds, hazelnuts and cinnamon. To finish, add the peeled and finely chopped apples. Pour in to a greased and floured springform tin (26 cm diameter), smooth the mix and bake at 180 degrees for around an hour. When the cake has cooled, cover with the apricot jam and scatter over the sliced almonds. Hope it turns out well!
