The "Big 5" are not elephants and the like, rather, they are the world-renowned winter sports hubs, including Kitzbühel, Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn and SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser. "Home base" and starting point is St. Johann, whose local ski mountain on the Kitzbüheler Horn also provides plenty of variety.

And of course those for whom that is just not enough, can also give being a big Alpine game hunter a go too. The hunting area comprises some 2840 kilometres of pistes in 23 ski areas. Along with the Big 5 there are also other ski stations in Salzburg, Upper Austria, Carinthia and Styria. The Mega Ski pass - the Kitzbühel Alps SuperSkiCard - makes this possible; the second biggest ski pass association in the world, which has been revealed in XXL format and is also part of the two glacier ski areas. This new ski pass, which makes 180 days of skiing possible within its core area, is available as a season ticket, as an optional ski ticket (ten days in all areas) and as a multi day ticket.
