Start the route in the centre of Kirchdorf. Pass the church and the Kaiserquell wellness centre, the route soon climbs steadily up in serpentines to Gasteig. The small hamlet offers several places to stop for refreshments or a visit to the Wilder Käser show dairy. The country road in the direction of Schwendt/Kössen is now more easy. After Altmühl amid of a shady forest, you will see the legendary, wooden Devil's Chapel on the other side of the road. Soon afterwards you reach Griesenau. At the Griesenau inn, turn left into the Kaiserbachtal valley. Accompanied by the Kaiserbach stream and the imposing peaks of the Kaiser, you cycle along the 5 km toll road. After the Fischbachalm, you will see the chapel commemorating mountaineers who died in the Kaiser range on the other bank of the stream. Continue into the valley. Passing one of the oldest mountain pine oil distilleries in Tyrol, you reach the Griesner Alm at the end of the toll road.
