To the Klooalm - MTB tour for kids in the Brixen Valley

"Small but mighty" - this tour is designed for families with sporty kids. It challenges the fitness of the whole family in just the right proportion.  True to the motto "No work without play”, the reward for the climb on the first half of the tour is twofold: firstly in the form of delicious cake at the Klooalm, and secondly on the return journey to Kirchberg, which is exclusively downhill.
You start in Kirchberg, past the Gaisberg lift valley station, remaining beside the Aschauer Ache. Here, right next to the stream, the beautiful, picturesque cycle path climbs gently higher and higher. Take a short break at the adventure playground right next to the cycle path. From time to time you will cross the road, so take care. Apart from that there are no cars and you can concentrate fully on the beautiful landscape. After Aschau, the valley divides into the Unterer Grund and Oberer Grund. Turn left into the Oberer Grund where the trail gets a little steeper. Here you head for your stage destination through the beautiful landscaped nature reserve, to the Klooalm.
For a short distance it will be a bit strenuous, but just look forward to super delicious homemade cake and delicious dairy products from home produce and to the fact that it's all downhill on the return to Kirchberg. Just opposite the adventure playground there is a BMX track that guarantees even more fun.
If you and the kids still have some energy left at the end, it's worth taking a short detour to the Bike Skill Park behind the Fleckalmbahn’s valley station - here the whole family can burn off their energy for the remainder of the day on the course that was built especially for beginner bikers.
