With the contemplative time coming to an end in the St. Johann in Tirol region come the New Year's Eve and New Year festivities. Welcome in the New Year properly and spend the turn of the year in the St. Johann in Tirol region. The legendary New Year’s Eve warm-up party marks the start of the proceedings on 29th December.
This year, St. Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf, Kirchdorf and Erpfendorf will once again be hosting large official and organised firework displays. These fireworks displays will be carried out by professional pyrotechnics companies in accordance with regulations and after the fireworks, care will also be taken to ensure that they are cleaned up and that no residue is left in the countryside. The municipalities and the tourism association therefore appeal to reduce the setting off of private fireworks for the sake of the environment and instead visit the impressive large and public fireworks displays in the towns.
