Over 40 kilometres of pistes on the north flanks of the Kitzbühel Horn provide ski runs of all difficulty levels, while contemporary lift facilities take ski fans up high, and the numerous ski instructors show boarding bambinis and ski senior citizens alike how to turn properly in the snow. Cross-country is a tradition in St. Johann in Tirol too: More than 200 kilometres of slopes wind their way through the sunny valley – and once a year the region plays host to the biggest open cross-country race in Austria.
