Solstice fire on Hohe Salve

The solstice has a long tradition in the Holiday Region Hohe Salve and is a true spectacle. The mountaintops are ablaze when the longest day comes upon the shortest night. In Hopfgarten this special day sees a big fire lit on the summit of Hohe Salve.

Hohe Salve is not just a wonderful panoramic mountain, it was already used by the Celts as a power place for rituals to worship the sun.
