The solstice has a long tradition in the Hohe Salve region and is a true spectacle. The mountain peaks are ablaze when the longest day meets the shortest night. Fires are lit on the mountain peaks on June 21st. These fires are said to strengthen the power of the sun and keep evil away from humans and animals. Experience this unique tradition at the summit of the Hohe Salve. The fires in the evening mountain atmosphere will inspire you!
Seen from the mountain peaks, the view is overwhelming and shows another facet of the impressive mountain world of the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol.
TIP: the Gipfelalm restaurant on the Hohe Salve is open! Musical entertainment and culinary delicacies are provided. (a reservation is an advantage)
Evening operation of the Hopfgarten gondola lifts from 19:00 - 23:00
