Pleasure-oriented shops, farm shops, farmers' markets and farm-gate sales in the Holiday Region Hohe Salve

Live and shop more consciously

  • checkWhere do I get regional quality products from the region?

  • checkWhen and what time can I get these products?

  • checkHow can I best support local farmers and small entrepreneurs?

Do you also ask yourself these questions? This is exactly why the Holiday Region Hohe Salve has created the Hohe Salve Marketplace platform. We inform you about our local farmers and regional producers and provide information about where you can get the products you want.

Originality and regionality are values that are still held in particularly high regard throughout Tyrol today. With the new project "Hohe Salve Marketplace", which was developed together with the Wilder Kaiser Tourism Association, we would therefore like to strengthen local producers and raise awareness for regional products.

With a lot of tradition, customs and passion, and characterised by the harmony of people, animals and nature, the Holiday Region Hohe Salve produces its own farm products, own productions and handmade products, which we would like to put in front of the curtain. Seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as handmade products from small regional businesses are also available. Whether as a souvenir for those left at home or directly to eat yourself - the many Tyrolean goods are sure to delight you.

Exactly this appreciation is also reflected in the assortment of farmers' markets, farmers' shops, gourmet shops and farm-gate sales points. Did you know, for example, that the Hohe Salve holiday region is the second largest milk producer in Tyrol with 7.9 million litres of milk per year? That's exactly why you'll find the freshest milk, the tangiest cheese and the best alpine yoghurt at the farmer's around the corner.

We are always open to new ideas and to regional producers and suppliers who would like to present themselves and their products on our Hohe Salve Marketplace platform. Feel free to fill out the enquiry form at the bottom of the page and send us your ideas. To get to the end of the website, click on the navigation button "Apply here!

Dairy farming is the biggest mainstay of many farmers in the Holiday Region Hohe Salve. In Hopfgarten and Kelchsau alone, approx. 7,850,000 litres of the purest milk are produced annually. The milk is partly processed on the farm itself or delivered to the regional TIROL Milch dairy in Wörgl. This is how the many quality products of fresh Tyrolean milk such as yoghurt, butter, whey, cheese and much more are created.

The cows usually spend the summer on the alpine pastures high up in the mountains. There they not only enjoy the fresh mountain air, but also lots of alpine herbs, which then give the dairy products a very special taste. At the Niederkaser-Alm and the Holzalm, the milk is even processed directly into various cheese specialities and offered for sale.
A visit is worthwhile - for a look behind the scenes of cheese production and of course to enjoy fresh, regional delicacies.
