Tour information

From the village centre, walk along Speckbacherstraße in the direction of Oberndorf. At the Fixlerkapelle chapel in Apfeldorf, turn left to take the path up to the Alpine pastures. At the end of the residential road, the hiking trail branches off to the right. The path winds its way up through the romantic snow-covered winter forest and repeatedly offers beautiful views of St. Johann in Tirol and the Wilder Kaiser. The tour finally ends at the Alpengasthof Hirschberg, where you have really earned a break.
You can either return via the same route or via the tarmac road.

Getting there Coming from Salzburg on the B178, take the Salzburger Straße into the roundabout, take the third exit and park at the Steinlechnerplatz car park.
Coming from the direction of Kitzbühel on the B161, enter the roundabout and take the first exit, turn left at the next junction to the Steinlechner car park and park.

Now it is only a few metres to the start of the hike by crossing the Großachenbrücke bridge in Kaiserstraße and continuing to Poststraße.
