Description:
We start from the parking lot of the Bergbahnen St.Johann in Tirol and buy the Kitzbüheler Alpen Trail Card there.
At the same time, you will also receive the exit card for the parking lot at the end of the tour at the ticket office.
The gondola lift takes you to the middle station and straight into the first trail of the day:
The Harschbichl trail (S2) is a varied flow trail with root and stone passages but also perfect berms and tables, doubles and other obstacles for jumping.
Once in the valley, we cycle via the Weitau district on to Oberndorf to the Schmiedboden settlement.
Through the romantic "Bichlach" we continue past the Schwarzsee lake and through the center of the sports town of Kitzbühel to the valley station of the Hahnenkamm cable car, where we ride in the legendary gondola up the mountain.
At the top, after a short, crisp climb, we reach the "Bernhardkapelle" and subsequently the entrance to the
Fleckalm trail (S3). This special class enduro trail winds its way over 7.1 km of (alpine) dreamlike root passages, fast and rough speed sections, countless bends, tables and drops and over exciting northshore elements down into the valley to the district of Klausen.
We continue through the center of Kirchberg to the valley station of the Gaisberg chairlift. Here we complete 2 mountain rides and conquer on the first descent the
This technically demanding trail for downhillers offers jumps, drops, root passages and speed sections with rapid jumps. The second trail on the Gaisberg is the
Lisi Osl Trail (S2) named after the local Cross-Country World Cup winner of 2009. Here you can expect a breathtaking flow trail with many bends through a beautiful forest landscape.
Our tour now leads us back through Kirchberg and further back to the valley station of the Fleckalm gondola. On the next ascent we relax and enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama from the Hohe Salve over the Wilder Kaiser to the Kitzbüheler Horn.
Once at the top, the next adrenaline rush awaits you, the
Hahnenkamm Trail (S2). The upper part leads across alpine meadows and offers some highlights for high-speed junkies. Then it's on through the forest over root and stone passages
until in the lower section countless bends lead the trail to the end.
With a big smile on our faces, we bike through the center of the legendary sports town of Kitzbühel and slowly make our way back to St.Johann. The route leads us on the time-honored Roman path to Oberndorf. There the OD Trails are waiting for us at the end.
The OD Trails offer 3 lines with 1 km each and different levels of difficulty. The offer is rounded off with a drag lift for the ascent and a great jumpline for beginners and advanced skiers.
Now the finish sprint to St.Johann in Tirol where we finish the tour with a cool refreshment in the pedestrian zone in the center of town.
