Via Ferrata on Kitzbüheler Horn
Spend time together as a family climbing, swimming, and building dams in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser. Just a few minutes' walk from the Griesner Alm inn, right next to a clear mountain stream, is our family climbing rock, where you can try climbing, rappelling, and securing under the guidance of a mountain guide. In the meantime, you can playfully explore nature, whether it's building dams with small stones or walking barefoot in the riverbed. Change of clothes and a towel should be packed.
If the weather does not allow family climbing on the rock, the event can take place in the bouldering gym in St. Johann. The mountain guide will decide this the evening before.
On Thursday mornings, families with children aged 6 and up can try rock climbing. Without prior knowledge and under the guidance of an experienced mountain guide, young and old can feel the rock under their fingers and enjoy the adventure.

Duration: approx. 5 hours
Equipment: Helmet*, climbing harness*, climbing shoes* (* rental equipment available. Costs € 20,- per person). Sports and change of clothes, bathing gear, towel, small snack, and water bottle.
Deductible: € 80 per family with a St. Johann Card (€ 100 without guest card). - Not included: Travel to Griesner Alm (toll road € 6,-), rental equipment (if needed for a fee), catering.
Difficulty: At least 1 adult and 1 child (father, mother, grandma, grandpa...). Children from 6 years old.
This tour is conducted with just one family. Maximum 6 families per mountain guide.

Each registered participant will be contacted by the mountain guide by phone the evening before the tour. In order to always provide our guests with a unique mountain experience, we reserve the right to make minor program changes and to adjust the starting time and meeting point according to the conditions and the weather. In case of very bad weather, we are happy to offer trial courses in the climbing halls in Kitzbühel or St. Johann.
