The previous barrier system has been replaced by a licence plate recognition system. Authorisation to drive through is granted by paying the toll fee, using a pay station, QR code, app, ParkDepot or by purchasing a 10-block card. When paying, the licence plate number is entered, which authorises the vehicle to drive through. This can also be done up to 20 hours afterwards. (If the toll is not paid, a request for payment will be sent to the licence plate holder. The invoice is then made up of the toll charges, expenses and the penalty fee).
Info about the Kaiserbachtal Valley:
Info about the Kaiserbachtal: The Kaiserbachtal in the Kaisergebirge nature reserve stretches from the Kirchdorf district of Griesenau to the Stripsenjoch, enclosed by the Wilder Kaiser to the east and the Feldberg and Zahme Kaiser area to the north. Covering 10,200 hectares, the entire nature reserve in the Northern Limestone Alps offers a unique flora and fauna. The Kaiserbachtal is the starting point for countless summit ascents, challenging climbing and ski tours in the Kaisergebirge. The ridge hike from the Stripsenjoch over the Feldberg is rewarded with magnificent views. Very scenic is the leisurely hike along the wild and romantic Kaiserbach in the valley - in summer and winter. Summit names such as Predigtstuhl, Fleischbank or Totenkirchl bear witness to the fact that the Kaisergebirge can also harbor dangers. The memorial chapel Kaiserbachtal (built in 1984) commemorates the victims of the accident. From Griesenau, a 5 km toll road leads to an altitude of 1024 m, directly in front of the imposing mountain massif of the Wilder Kaiser. It also opens up the bizarrely romantic mountain world to visitors arriving by car or bus.
