Buchensteinwand circuit
The Jakobskreuz always in view - on two wheels around the "Buach"
A cycling tour around Buchensteinwand should be part of any cycling holiday in PillerseeTal. The tour can be comfortably completed by mountain bike or by e-bike. The Jakobskreuz always in view, the circuit leads from St. Jakob in Haus, along Wiesensee lake via Hochfilzen and Fieberbrunn, back to St. Jakob in Haus again. But the tour can be started in each of the three aforementioned townships. The cycle path is also optimally suited for families and further offers some options for stopping off for a snack along the route.
In addition, there are a few attractions along the way which you should have seen. For example, the path leads directly past the Familienland adventure park in St. Jakob in Haus, which with its huge rollercoaster can be seen from afar. Wiesensee Lake with its Kneipp facility beckons to put in a break before the tour continues on to Hochfilzen. There you can pay a visit to the Maria Schnee Pilgrimage Church, before the circular route leads back above Fieberbrunn to the starting point. Be sure to have your camera packed, because on this circuit plenty of views are waiting for the holiday album.
