Jakobskreuz - Buchensteinwand

the largest accessible summit cross in the world, located in the heart of the PillerseeTal

The Jakobskreuz is located on top of the summit of the Buchensteinwand, the most beautiful panoramic mountain in the PillerseeTal, and is one of the countless highlights in the Kitzbühel Alps. The largest accessible summit cross in the world, with its height of approx. 30 metres, provides a magnificent view of the holiday region and invites you to stop for a while and relax. The peaks of the Loferer und Leoganger Steinberge, as well as countless other mountains, such as the Wildseeloder, the Spielberg and the Kitzbüheler Horn, are close enough to touch. The Jakobskreuz on the Buchensteinwand, however, not only boasts a great panoramic view of the surrounding mountain world, but also has space for seminars, weddings, lectures or thought-provoking projects. The four viewing platforms at a height of 19 metres, can be easily reached in a passenger lift and are also easily accessible for wheelchair users or people with physical disabilities. The top excursion destination in the Kitzbühel Alps and the whole of Tirol is open in both summer and winter during the opening hours of the Bergbahn Pillersee / Buchensteinwand! With the purchase of the PillerseeTal Card the admission fee for the Jakobskreuz is already included!
