Buchensteinwandrunde Nb. 17

From the village centre of St. Jakob in Haus a short distance in the direction of the Pillersee mountain railway, turn right downhill at the Elisabeth guesthouse and follow the cycle path past the valley station of the Buchensteinwand chairlift. Continue to the district of Flecken / St.Ulrich am Pillersee. From there, cycle along the road towards the Wiesensee lake (Kneipp facility) and continue up to Hochfilzen (972m). Turn right uphill between the Glaagut and Hörlhof farms. Follow the signs and continue on the Buchensteinwand circular trail above the railway line in the direction of Fieberbrunn - Pfaffenschwendt district. Use the railway subways twice here and continue towards Fieberbrunn. (In the Schönau Pertrach district, it is possible to descend into the village centre of Fieberbrunn). The cycle tour continues from the farms in Schönau Pertrach in a westerly direction, again using the railway subway twice and from the Schlossberg district of Fieberbrunn up a somewhat steeper incline in the direction of Hochegg / St. Jakob i.H.. After the Kühle Klause (crossing the stream) keep to the right and follow the circular route. Turn left down to the sports field and return to the starting point.
