The starting point for this tour is the Wasserfeld car park P3. From there, follow signpost no. 227 in the direction of Kelchsau. After about 650 metres you leave the road and turn left over a bridge into the Elsbethen settlement. Cross the village and follow the signs (no. 227) to the Gruberberg junction. At the crossroads, turn left in the direction of Westendorf (no. 89) and follow the road to the Haslau power station (Unterwindau). There you cycle along the Windauer Ache, past the Lendwirt inn, to the Käsealm Straubing (no. 6).
Return to the starting point via trail no. 89 in the direction of Jägerhäusl and then follow signpost no. 6, past the Lendwirt, to Hopfgarten.
