Cheesy spaetzle

Delicacies from the Tyrolean mountains

Enjoy a ‘delicacy from the mountains’ every day and conjure up some holiday memories on your table. We have selected seven different favourite dishes for you and hope you enjoy cooking and, above all, savouring them. Good luck!

Ingredients:

  • check400 g flour

  • check2 eggs

  • checkSalt

  • check250 ml water

  • check1 onion

  • check40 g butter

  • check1 table spoon of chopped parsley

  • checkPepper

  • check300 g cheese (spicy)

Preparation

Mix flour, eggs, salt and water to a firm dough. Press the dough through a “Spätzlesieb” into boiling salted water. Boil the noodles at medium heat, strain them and rinse with cold water. Peel the onions, chop them thinly and roast them. Now add the noodles as well as the chopped parsley and season with pepper. Drain and rinse them with cold water. Sprinkle with the cheese and leave on fire till the cheese has melted. You could also but the pan in the oven and let the cheese melt there.
