Peter

The ambitious hotelier from the PillerseeTal

play_arrow

Together with his family, Peter Eder runs a hotel in the PillerseeTal which is now in the third generation. When he is not looking after his guests, he likes to spend his time biking, hiking, skiing or ski touring in the Kitzbüheler Alpen. What, in Peter's opinion, is the fascination of the Tyrolean mountains? The stunning scenery, the pure mountain air, the hospitality of the locals and the regional cuisine.

Speaking of culinary delights: Peter loves good food - and it's no coincidence that his hotel is also known for the high standard of its good home-style Tyrolean cuisine. If necessary, the trained hotelier also likes to step in as a chef himself. Regional food is particularly important to him, like for instance, the freshly caught fish from a trusted fish farmer in the neighbouring village.

From ski athlete to hotelier

Even as children, Peter and his brother always mingled with the hotel guests. Having people around is simply a good feeling for the hotelier. That's why it was already clear for little Peter: I'm going to be a hotelier one day! At the Ski Hotel Management College, he not only learned the tourist and gastronomic trade, skiing also played an important role.

On his way from ski race to ski race, the ambitious Peter travelled all over Europe, until he put his professional goals first in order to finally earn his own money: he joined the family hotel business. What's the best thing about his job? When long-standing guests return to the PillerseeTal again and again and stay in his hotel.

About mountains, bikes and feelings of happiness

Peter's second great passion nowadays is mountain biking. On his bike he benefits from double quantities of energy: from cycling and from nature. Sport has always been as much a part of his life as going to bed. After cycling in the fresh air, he always feels reborn.

It's a good thing that the Kitzbüheler Alpen are ideal for adventures on two wheels! Flat paths, steep trails, pushing passages, stones, roots. In the PillerseeTal, variety is pre-programmed for bike fans. Even better: Peter also likes to take his hotel guests on guided tours through his native home - feelings of happiness included!
