Krimml Waterfalls
The biggest waterfalls in Europe
Krimml Waterfalls are located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The waterfalls have a fall height of 380 m making them one of the biggest in Europe. They are divided up into three levels - the lower, middle and upper Achenfalls. To experience the waterfalls up close, a 4 km hiking trail with several viewing points, has been set up. There is an altitude difference of around 431 m to negotiate on this route. Particularly on hot summer days the fine mist of Krimml Waterfalls provides a welcome refreshment.
Krimml Waterfalls can be visited from mid-April until the end of October. In the summer months of June and July, Krimml Waterfalls have the highest amount of flow. More information about ticket prices is available here.
