Aurach Wildlife Park
Get up close to stag, ibex and the like
Aurach Wildlife Park inspires thanks to its unique location, which has panoramic views to the Kitzbühel Alps and because of the animals that live there. See reed deer, fallow deer and mouflon in Tirol’s biggest outdoor enclosures, along with ibex, lynx, yaks and many other animals. The impressive sight of the animals being fed on the large feeding area takes place every day at 14.30. Hike and relax in the midst of around 300 animals. Aurach Wildlife park is open throughout the year and is well worth a visit.
One highlight for children is the ‘Streichlstadl’, where goats, donkeys, sheep, llamas, mini Shetland ponies, hares and guinea pigs live. At 13.30 every Saturday, Sunday and on bank holidays there is a supervised feeding session in the ‘Streichstadl’ - a fantastic experience for children and families! What’s more, children can let off steam in the large play area - the ‘Wildspielpark’, where everything revolves around Willi the Wild Boar. After a tour be indulged in Gasthaus Branderhofstube and enjoy regional treats and produce, as well as views to the mountains. Aurach Wildlife park is also the main filming location for the well-known TV series ‘Da wo die Berge sind’, with Hansi Hinterseer.
