In June, the Tyrolean panoramic mountain Hohe Salve and its smaller sibling, Kleine Salve, will be transformed into a hotspot for lovers of traditional costumes! Small and big summiteers can look forward to girls and boys in dirndls and lederhosen as far as the eye can see, as well as culinary highlights and exciting performances by traditional associations such as the “Goasslschnoizer Hopfgarten”, “Schuachplattler” groups and wind players. The highlight of this day will be a fashion show with the most beautiful traditional costumes from “Trachtenbekleidung Niederkofler” in the morning and in the afternoon at the summit of the Hohe Salve. The Hohe Salve cable car in Hopfgarten and the Salvistabahn in Itter will take you comfortably closer to heaven at unbeatable prices. On this day you get 50% discount on the day ticket (ascent and descent) in Hopfgarten and Itter. The Sunnseit Hut is located between the middle station and the valley station of the Hopfgarten cable cars. You can reach the summit with the summit restaurant Hohe Salve with the Salvenbahn II. With the Salvistabahn Itter you can easily reach the KRAFTalm directly, as well as the Kleine Salve terminus. The Kleine Salve reservoir is located directly below.
The Dirndl and Lederhosen Day can of course be reached by bus or train.
You can easily take the bus to the valley station in Itter and the bus or train to Hopfgarten. The bus stops are (almost) directly at the two valley stations Hopfgarten and Itter.
