The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is an adventure road. You can enjoy the most beautiful view from the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe: On fine weather days, you can admire the mighty Großglockner and Austria's largest glacier, the Pasterze. Along the high alpine road sometimes you will see wild animals in the free nature: ibex, marmots, chamois, vultures and golden eagles are native to this area.
Departure: 8 am St. Johann in Tirol Steinlechnerplatz
Drive to Zell am See - Ferleiten, Großglockner Franz-Josefs-Höhe & lunch break, then to Heiligenblut & the pilgrimage church, continue to Iselsberg - Lienz (small stop), return via Felbertauernstraße.
