Fado is neither folklore nor folk music, but a national treasure and an expression of the Portuguese state of mind: saudade. The unreserved enthusiasm of the audience at Fado Nights 2022 and 2023 is now calling for a new edition! And this time, Carlos Leitao - one of the most renowned and talented guitarists of this genre - welcomes samba singer Nani Medeiros from Porto Alegro in southern Brazil.
Nani discovered her love of Lisbon and fado a few years ago and moved to Portugal, where she immediately established herself as a fadista. In her home country, she is still well integrated into the modern bossa and samba scene.
