Dialect dictionary

Your first steps into the language of the Alps

Tyrol is not only known for its impressive landscape and traditional culture, but also for the diversity of its dialects.
These regional language forms are deeply rooted in the history and identity of the Tyroleans.
The dialects are characterised by their own, often very melodic speech melody and the use of old words, some of which are no longer used in other regions of Austria.
The dialect in PillerseeTal is particularly distinctive. Specific expressions and a unique linguistic colouring are typical of this region. They reflect the sense of belonging and the traditions of the people. This dialect has been preserved over generations and is an important part of the people who live in PillerseeTal.

For this reason, we have translated part of our dialect for you.
