Tanja

The sporty secretary from the Brixen valley

play_arrow

Tanja Pöll is certain: "There is no place on earth more beautiful than the Brixen valley." Even as a child, she was always in the mountains with her parents - and was already deeply impressed by the Kitzbüheler Alpen mountains. It was clear to Tanja very early on that she would never want to leave her native home.

Professionally, the sporty mountain enthusiast works in marketing at the Bergbahn Westendorf, the lift company, and promotes the region's top excursion destinations - such as the Kreuzjöchlsee lake or the Alpinolino discovery park. After all, guests should also experience the extraordinary qualities of their holiday resort!

Mountain sports, an attitude to life

Exercising in the mountains is more than just sport for Tanja. Being active in the mountains is a way of life. That's why she spends almost every free minute outside in the pure mountain air. In Summer it's hiking, biking and jogging as often as she can. As a Winter sport's fan, Tanja enjoys ski touring, snowshoe hiking tobogganing, skiing and cross-country skiing just as much.

Tanja's hiking tip: from Kelchsau in the direction of the Zillertal valley at sunrise. Return by taxi.

Celebrate the small things in life

For Tanja, it is the simple things in life that bring her happiness: the scent of blossoms in Spring, the smell of freshly turned hay in Summer, the crystal-clear to icy air in Autumn and Winter. Experiences like spending the night on the mountain, nibbling fresh forest raspberries or admiring the sparkle of snow crystals in Winter are the most beautiful for Tanja.

Her highlights in the Brixen valley include sunrises and sunsets, for example at the Brechhorn summit cross with its unique view of the Kitzbüheler Alpen. Mountain streams also fascinate the nature-loving Tyrolean. Her tip: Simply sit or lie down, close your eyes and listen to the babbling water! It has an immensely calming effect!

The taste of regional quality

From a culinary point of view, Tanja is a bit of an Epicurean. She loves the traditional home-cooking that is served to her in the region's inns. A breakfast on the mountain - fantastically good! A sweet Kaiserschmarrn - wonderfully light and fluffy! A schnapps here and there is also part of a stop-off. "We have so many schnapps distillers here who grow their own fruit. You can taste the quality of the local products wherever you consume them."

Tanja's profile

  • checkMy power places in the Kitzüheler Alpen ... the Kreuzjöchl Lake and the Brechhorn mountain.

  • checkWhat makes my native home special ... the extraordinary quality that nature and the leisure activities have to offer.

  • checkWhat is my emotional connection to the Kitzbüheler Alpen and why ... I feel safe and secure here. I can unfold in our beautiful nature and draw strength from my favourite places.

Sitting at a mountain spring, listening to the rippling of the water coming from deep inside the mountain to the surface and closing your eyes, has an incredibly calming effect. The quality of drinking water we have should not be taken for granted.
