The KAT Walk’s silent spirit
Since his childhood, Nik enjoys being in the mountains, whether on skis, on foot or on rock formations.
Read moreNik Brandstätter is an enthusiastic mountaineer who lost his heart to the mountains as a young age. The young local experiences unforgettable moments of happiness freeriding, climbing, hiking and ski touring in the Kitzbüheler Alpen. Nature gives him strength and has new adventures and surprises in store for him every time. Giving his full concentration while hiking and just switching off is the nicest feeling for Nik on the mountain.
In his job in the field for the Brixental Valley Tourism Association, Nik spends a lot of time in the Kitzbüheler Alpen. He is responsible for the maintenance and restoration of the local hiking trails. He ensures that every hiker feels just as comfortable on the mountain as he himself does. In Winter Nik lives out his personal passion as ski instructor on the local ski slopes.
Nik’s recommendation: the KAT Walk, a long-distance hiking trail, for everyone who appreciates comfort. A warm bed in a nice hotel after each stage. Good regional food to refill empty stores of energy. Taxi transport for your luggage. What more could you want?
