When homesickness triumphs

Read moreMelanie and Rory O’Brien have found the perfect place to live, for them and their children, in the Kitzbüheler Alpen. Originally Rory comes from New Zealand but a few years ago he turned his back on his home and decided to live in Tyrol. The family of four enjoys the quiet life in the country in the Brixental region, away from all the hustle and bustle of city life.
The young family appreciates the variety of leisure activities that the Kitzbüheler Alpen have to offer for families. Above all, Mama, Papa and the two children, Emma and Jamie, love to spend their time in the fresh mountain air – whatever the weather. There are dedicated children’s adventure worlds on each mountain which bring the little ones closer to nature in a playful way. However, the O’Brien family’s absolute favourite place is the Alpinolino Discovery Park in Westendorf.
For Melanie, her home is and remains the most beautiful place in the world. She is convinced that the clear air and the silence of the mountains are what make it so special.
