Tour information

The starting point for this hike is the Raiffeisenbank in the centre of Kelchsau. From there, follow signpost no. 79/1 in the direction of Ölbank Rundweg. Cross the bridge and hike up the asphalt road until you turn left into the forest. Pass the Vordere and Hintere Ölbankalm pastures and continue towards the Untere Lodronalm pasture. At the Unterlodron junction, continue along trail no. 79/1 to the Demmelshütten. Walk along the Fortsstraße back to the starting point in Kelchsau.

There are no refreshment stops along the way, so we recommend taking enough food and drink with you.

Getting there Arriving from Innsbruck/Munich: A12 exit Wörgl Ost - feeder road B178 towards St. Johann i. T. & Kitzbühel - after tunnel exit towards Hopfgarten - at roundabout exit onto B170 towards Hopfgarten - turn right after the underpass and drive over the bridge towards Kelchsau - into valley on L205 Kelchsauer Straße approx. 7 km.
Arriving from Kitzbühel: B170 Brixentalstraße direction Wörgl - in Hopfgarten before the second railway underpass turn left over bridge direction Kelchsau - approx. 7 km
Public transport bus: Kelchsau Hofstattbahn Talstation
