Tour information

The starting point for this hike is at the sports field on Penningberg.
From there you hike along the field path to Penningdörfl. At the chapel, turn left in the direction of Markbachjoch (trail no. 73). At the Schipflinghof farm, turn right onto the asphalt road past the hay barn. Continue following the signs towards Markbachjoch (trail no. 73) until you reach Mittermoosen See.
Return to the starting point via trail no. 73 through the forest in the direction of Penningdörfl.

Getting there Coming from Innsbruck/Munich: A12 exit Wörgl Ost - feeder road B178 towards St. Johann i. T. & Kitzbühel - after tunnel exit towards Hopfgarten - at roundabout exit onto B170 towards Hopfgarten - turn right under the subway over bridge towards Kelchsau - into valley on L205 Kelchsauer Straße approx. 200 m - turn right onto Pnningbergstraße - after approx. 2 km destination is on the right hand side.

Coming from Kitzbühel: B170 Brixentalstraße towards Wörgl - in Hopfgarten before the second railway subway turn left over bridge towards Kelchsau - into valley on L205 Kelchsauer Straße approx. 200 m - turn right onto Pnningbergstraße - after approx. 2 km destination is on the right hand side.
Public transport It is not possible to get to the starting point by public transport.
