Welcome to the website of the Salventrail Mountain Marathon Itter in the Region Hohe Salve, a challenging trail running event characterised by picturesque landscapes and challenging routes. The event will take place on 7 June 2025 in Itter in Tyrol and offers 5 exciting competitions: Salventrail Marathon (with Tyrolean Trail Marathon Championship), Salventrail Half Marathon, Salventrail 14km (with Tyrolean Trail Classic Championship), Salventrail 10km (beginners and junior trail), as well as children's races from 400m.

* The Kraftalm can only be accessed with the Salvistabahn and is not accessible by car . Runners who are taking part in the Salventrail have the opportunity to travel free of charge in the Salvistabahn. All you have to do is show your start number. Spectators and trainers have the option to purchase travel tickets for the ascent and descent to the intermediate station at the Salvistabahn valley station pay desk. A free shuttle bus service is also available between Itter secondary school and Salvistabahn valley station.

At Salventrail in Itter there is the option of tackling the challenging 42 km route as part of a team of 4 . All the relay change-overs take place at the idyllic KRAFTalm. Only mixed relay teams are permitted, whereby there must be at least one woman in each team. For a team to tackle the race as a joint effort, there is also the option for one runner to complete more than just a single section of the route.
Below is a detailed insight into the 42 and 21 kilometre routes in Region Hohe Salve, so you are able to optimally prepare for your trail running adventure. The Outdooractive map view enables you to see the Itter routes in detail. For even more precise planning exact GPX data for the routes is available for download. This data will enable you to see the route on your own GPS device and ensure you are always on the right track.

Salvistabahn Itter open
The middle station is not accessible by car - but don't worry, the Salvistabahn in Itter will take you to the top. On 7 June 2025, the Salvistabahn Itter will open at 08.00 am. Participants in the Salventrail can ride the railway for free - just show your start number. Spectators and carers can purchase tickets for the middle station at the Salvistabahn valley station ticket office.
