Your four-legged darlings can accompany you on almost every experience in the Holiday Region Hohe Salve. You want to use the
cable car with your dog? No problem! The
Salvenbahn I and II in Hopfgarten and the
Salivstabahn in Itter transport your dog free of charge. Once at the top, you can then explore the summit of the
Hohe Salve or the
Kleine Salve and discover the extensive hiking area.
The cable cars Brixen im Thale, Westendorf, Ellmau-Going, Söll and Scheffau also carry dogs at no cost. If you have a season ticket or a cable car adventure card, taking your dog with you is free. Please note that dogs in the
area of the cable car and in the gondola must be
leashed. Where applicable, a muzzle must also be worn.
Dogs are also allowed on
public transport. Small dogs can be carried in a
pet carrier. Bigger dogs must be kept on the leash and wear a muzzle. Dogs can be carried for
free in buses. In trains, however, you need to buy a
ticket for your dog. This rule applies to all dogs, except for registered assistance dogs.
