PillerseeTal with the five townships of Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee and Waidring is a good starting point for your ski tour in Tirol. Discover the Kitzbühel Alps from their most scenic side. Here you’ll find some touring tips. Please get up-to-date beforehand with the current avalanche situation and weather forecasts.

With the Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn up to the Lärchfilzkogel. From there, a short downhill slope follows to the Wildalmen (1,579 m). Ascent on the north side of the Henne through a prominent gully to Wildseeloderhaus. Continue to Seenieder mountain and across the east ridge or eastern flank to the summit. The descent is via the eastern flank to the lake (Wildseeloderhaus) and to the north to the Wildalmen and on to the Griessenbodenalm or from the summit through the eastern flank all the way to Seenieder and southwesterly (via a large cornice) to Jufenhöhe 1,890m. Experience beautiful western slopes on the way to the lower Grubalmen and through the Pletzergraben back to Fieberbrunn (also an option for the ascent). Tip: Through the northern flank of Wildseeloder lead some (in part VERY DIFFICULT) freeride routes.

With the Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn up to (1,645m ) Lärchfilzkogel. From there follows a short descent to the Wildalmhöhe. After a short ascent heading west, during which the first elevation is bypassed on the south, the route continues across the gentle ridge until below the summit of Platte and further on to the increasingly steeper eastern flank. The descent goes back to the Wildalmen, continuing to the Griessenbodenalm all the way to the Lärchfilzhochalm and via Jägersteig and Streuböden back to the parking lot.

Ascent with the Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn to the mountain station of Hochhörndl chairlift (2,020m). Cross the Henne on the south and continue (via a steep cornice) to Jufenhöhe (1,890m). Across the wide ridge to the south all the way to the summit rock (ski depot). Via steeper rock steps directly or slightly on the north side to the summit.
Descent: via the Jufenalm to lower Grubalm and through the Pletzergraben to Fieberbrunn (also an option for the ascent).
Bischof (2,127 m)

Starting point is the parking lot at Gasthof Winkelmoos Inn (850 m). From there it’s through the Pletzergraben to Farmangeralm and then south of the Farmkopf (up on the right you’ll see Gebrakapelle Chapel) to Kranzlacke. Past the Bischofjoch on the north and to the building on the summit (poss. ski depot) and via the west ridge to the summit. The descent is along the same route.
Gebra (2,057 m)

Starting point is the parking lot at Gasthof Winkelmoos Inn (850m). Through the Pletzergraben, at first proceed to Farmangeralm and then continue all the way to the Gebrakapelle Chapel. The increasingly steeper hollow north-west of the Gebra up to the wind gap below the west ridge (poss. ski depot). First across the west ridge then through the southern flank up to the summit. The descent is along the same way as the ascent.
Spielberg (2,044 m)

Starting point is the parking lot just after Gasthaus Eiserne Hand Inn (860m). From there continue to the Burgeralm (1,256 m) and keep north onto the upper Spielbergalm. Becoming steeper to the Spielbergtörl (1,671 m) and across the south-west ridge to the summit. The descent is along the same route.
Kleberkopf (1,757 m)

Starting point is the parking lot just after Gasthaus Eiserne Hand Inn (860 m). At first just like to the Spielberg but not all the way to the upper Spielbergalm, but instead heading north (past a hunting cabin) to the dip between Kleberkopf and Spielberg and across the east ridge to the summit. The descent is along the same route.
Karstein (1,922 m)

Starting point is the "Rohr" farm at some 1,000 m. On the forest trail continue through the beech forest to the Edenhausalm. But before you reach this, keep going south while keeping to the left on the east ridge of the Karstein. Always stay on the at first still forested ridge and across some steep steps to the summit. Descent: like the ascent. From the summit directly into the steep north hollow and from there down to the Eggenalm and back to Edenhausalm.

Wallerberg (1,682 m)

Follow the forest road in the direction of Lindtalalm and continue up to Winterstelleralm. Leave the hut, which is not open in winter, on your left and continue up to the saddle above the alp. Once there, turn left in a southerly direction. The rest of the trail leads past a beautiful bench with a view to a steeper section below the summit. At the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge Steinberge, as well as the Kaisergebirge and Kitzbüheler Horn. The descent is roughly the same as the ascent.
Schafelberg (1,597 m) – Kirchberg (1,687 m)

Follow the signposted hiking trail north in the direction of Rechensau (shortcut possible after the forest across the meadow) and Rechensau Alm. From here there are several ascent options. One of them follows the summer trail to the left around a hump, always in a south-westerly direction. Across open terrain you reach the Schafelberg. The Kirchberg is a gentle up and down (it is not worth taking off your skins) over a ridge. The summit is reached in about 30 minutes after the Schafelberg. Descent: Follow the ridge ridge to the north (short counter ascent). At the height of an alpine cross you reach free slopes, where you have to keep to the right during the descent. At the hut, be sure to keep to the northeast (right). Descend via free slopes to the Raineralm. There take the wide path eastwards into the forest. From there you ride/push until you reach a fork, where you turn right again in the direction of St. Adolari. After the Rechensau Chapel, you rejoin the initial ascent path.
Touring ski world Buchensteinwand
Buchensteinwand in the heart of PillerseeTal is the perfect starting point for your ski tour. Numerous pistes lead from the valley station up to the Jakobskreuz, which can be seen on the summit from afar. From signposted ascents of all difficulty levels to equipment rentals and sales directly at the valley station, everything is on offer in the Touringskiworld Buchensteinwand. The touring ticket can be bought per day or for a full season.

Weissach-Hochkogl
For beginners, the ski tour up to Hochkogl in Fieberbrunn is the ideal opportunity to get a taste of ski touring. A specially groomed ascent track further facilitates the ascent. From the very beginning you have fabulous views of the surrounding Alpine world such as Wilder Kaiser, Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge as well as Wildseeloder and Spielberg.
