Triassic Beach

Your mini primordial sea on the Steinplatte! On over 200 square metres, expedition participants are able to cool off and relax: On the Triassic Beach, you can splash around and ride the water dinosaur! The beach itself is warm: Here the sand is dug up and worked! And that's not all, here, you can also find all kinds of fossils, dinosaurs can be discovered - and there is a thrilling treasure hunt! The most recent attraction here, is the huge dinosaur tube slide with a length of 30 metres.

In the outside area there is an approx. 210 m² “mini sea” surrounded by the highest located sand beach in the Alps, the approx. 1,400 m² “Triassic Beach”. Here, our little visitors can splash around and play in and by the water, whilst adults can relax on the beach and enjoy its terrific view. The little ones can meanwhile take part in an excavation, where they can search for hidden treasures in the sand. And last but not least, on the “Triassic Beach”, visitors have the opportunity to discover more about the former coral reef and its inhabitants during prehistoric times on the “Triassic Trail”. The themed trail to the peak and back again, provides information at each of its interactive and exciting stations about the formation of the Steinplatte. As a highlight, there is a huge fossil coral reef to discover.
