Timok's Explorer Path

Between the Streuböden middle station and the Wildalpgatterl mountain inn, you can discover oversized animal and plant species at six different stations. Here you can marvel, discover, play and climb at will. Educational information and questions await at each station, which can be answered in the new children's riddle pass. Those who have cracked all the riddles and found the right solution receive a small reward at the mountain railway ticket office.

On the new trail, you can playfully discover flora and fauna, as well as learn exciting information about the alpine region and its small, exciting secrets. For example, why you should be especially kind to the cannibalistic mountain newt, how a grass frog manages to survive winter torpor despite weak lungs and why you could also call a dragonfly a "mini-dino with a backwards gait".
