The traditional ski tour race up the Buchensteinwand takes place every year in February. From the start at the valley station to the finish at the mountain station of the Pillersee cable car, you have to climb around 600 metres in altitude. At the end of the race, however, you are rewarded with a fantastic view over the Pillersee valley and the Jakobskreuz also shines particularly brightly on this day.
