The cows are adorned with floral decoration, which are painstaking created by hand, on the Alpine pasture and are lead along the main road and side streets before heading back home to the farms. For spectators this is a one-of-a-kind spectacle of colours, smells and sounds. With live music and culinary delights, spectators are also well fed and entertained.

In the PillerseeTal the traditional Alpine Cattle Drive takes place in autumn. Discover real tradition and Tyrolean custom. After a successful Alpine summer - without the death or illness of both humans and animals - the cows are adorned and sent from the pasture into the valley. The "Boschen", the name given to the mountain pines decorated with flowers and ribbons, are created through laborious handiwork and are the pride and joy of every farmer! Don't miss out on this spectacle in any case! In addition, some Alpine festivals entice you in with suitable entertainment and food.
In den fünf Orten Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee und Waidring finden im Herbst die traditionellen Almabtriebe statt.
