The Kitzbüheler Alpen offers a very special service for the KAT Walk long-distance hiking trail exclusively in all the complete hassle-free packages. Transporting luggage from stage finish to stage finish. This allows you to hike each daily route with virtually no baggage while still having everything you need for a relaxed holiday. As you want more on several days of hiking than what you can fit in a backpack, we offer our hikers a comprehensive luggage transport service in our KAT Walk packages. We will take care of transporting your belongings - as you want to be hiking and not trailing things about everywhere ;)
Just hand your luggage in the reception before 09:00 am and after your hike it will be waiting at 03:00 pm at the latest in your next accommodation. One regular item of luggage up to a maximum of 15 kg per person can be transported. The luggage will be weighed on arrival! Excess baggage charges apply.
Should you need to have several items of luggage transported, this is available for a surcharge - simply request this in booking or order with the information team by 7 days before arrival at the latest at info@kat-walk.at .

** You will receive a map to take along with your booking documents. You can also find all the hiking maps online with the Option for downloading GPX data for your GPS navigation. In addition, you can also find the KAT Walk in the Kitzbüheler Alpen East and Kitzbüheler Alpen West hiking maps - these can be purchased in all tourist information centres in the Kitzbüheler Alpen for Euro 6.-- per map.

On the KAT Walk there are no obstacles for your dog, provided that the dog has enough fitness to complete it. On all stages of the KAT Walk Alpine and Compact there is at least one accommodation provider that allows pets. The costs for the dog will be paid when you are there.
Yes, 99 % of our guests hike it at their own pace. The KAT Walk is signposted throughout with the KAT Walk logo. From us you will receive map material with detailed directions. You can also download GPX data for every stage from the interactive map of the Kitzbüheler Alpen.
