Having a lunch break on Alpine stage 3 amid a sea of roses on an Alpine pasture on the Hinterkarscharte - with great views on either side. And visiting Sepp Kahn on day 2 - it was exciting to see how he still makes cheese and butter there today in the original way. It's fantastic that he gave us a glimpse of his everyday life!

I got to the top of the Kitzbüheler Horn in the rain and a storm after a three-hour ascent. At the Gipfelhaus inn I got the chance to warm up and dry out by the fireplace ... and suddenly it was dry outside, and I was able to take the wonderful path back down to the valley in the sunshine. It was a week full of hiking, eating and sleeping!
