A diverse hike in absolute tranquility, passing several historical Alpine buildings and a mountain moor near the Hintenkarscharte, as well as a waterfall near the stage finish. You can't fail to spot the Alpine roses above the Scheibenschlag Alpine pasture. With dream views of the surrounding mountains, the giant icy peaks of the Hohe Tauern, and the striking peaks of the Großer Rettenstein right in front of you. The routes are mostly not too difficult, only the area on either side of the Hintenkarscharte is classified as medium difficulty. On the KAT Walk you can live alongside nature. The mountain moor is unique. 
You can enjoy this spectacle in spring after a snowy winter. Snowfields line the KAT Walk at times. 
Refresh in one of the numerous mountain lakes 
Treat yourself! There are numerous huts serving delicious food and drink along the KAT Walk.
