Alpine pasture hike with loads of great views. The route leads over easy to medium-difficulty steep paths and forest paths. Slopes are moderate but steeper in short sections. With a 1,200 metre difference in elevation, you need a bit of stamina though. Along the route you pass countless Alpine pastures. With a little luck you can catch Alpine writer Sepp Kahn on the Lower Lärchenbergalm Alpine pasture . He records the life of an Alpine dairyman in diaries.
Chat with the Alpine innkeepers about the mountains and prepare to be surprised with the stories they tell you. Having arrived at the summit cross, you can take time to look down into the valley and relax. The KAT Walk is so breathtaking, it is even etched in stone. Hike in near solitude. There are no paths packed with people here. Alone in the nature You can now start the descent replenished. On the KAT Walk you can well and truly enjoy your hiking.
Our personal KAT Walk moments: The descent from the Lodron, having a nice talk with Sepp Kahn, wonderful solitary stages - except for climbing the Kitzbüheler Horn, I enjoyed the north side of the mountain even more as a result!
